Welcome to the Flaubert Gallery website - thanks for dropping by! Summer is here, almost! A new collection of artworks have just been hung for our 'Summer Exhibition' and so it's worth dropping in for a look - or an espresso - or both! As always, we intend keeping this site is as simple as possible as we believe the artworks and the artists showing in the main gallery are, quite rightly, the stars, so this website is designed so that you can find out a bit more about the gallery, the artists, the events we have planned and simple ways for us to keep in touch. Within the 'Flaubert Summer Exhibition', we are delighted to be showing new works by all of our established artists, including: beautiful equine oils by Jen Collee, landscapes and skyscapes by Amy Marshall, Jenny Mason, Claudia Massie, Andrew Walker, Paul Donaldson, Nicola Moir and Sarah Cameron. Edinburgh scenes by Bernie O'Donnell. Drawings and oils by Steven Hendry. Watercolours by John Dolan and Nicola Moir. Batik landscapes and townscapes by Jane Lannagan and new etchings by Peter Standen. AND..…for all of you who have been waiting, we do have a new collection of vibrant and colourful abstract landscapes and cityscapes, painted on glass, by Tommy Fitchet - the full range - from small to extra large! The Flaubert Gallery is an ideal place to browse for new works of art, whether to add to your own collection or to find that unique gift you have always been looking for. Throughout the year we have an exciting program of both solo artist and themed events planned. The Gallery has a relaxed atmosphere for browsing and discovering something new - making it interesting and accessible to connoisseurs and new buyers alike. Before we go, a big CONGRATULATIONS to Claudia Massie for being shortlisted in the 2009 Jolomo Awards - both a great achievement and excellent timing as Claudia and Camilla Watson have a joint exhibition which opens in Flaubert Gallery in early August, the opening of this year's Edinburgh Festival.
